You know, with Adam Lambert and Lady Gaga appearing, I might just have to watch the American Music Awards tonight. I can’t even remember the last time I would have said that.
As much as there’s still a lot of garbage in the charts, I think things are more interesting than they have been in a long time. I have absolutely nothing against mainstream pop music, as long as it is performed with some modicum of wit and style.
I just know someday my mother is going to yell at me for posting this stuff, but this is too perfect. And no, I’m not 16. My mother is 80, but she’s on Facebook. *waves at Mom*

The Library of Congress has an extensive and wonderful online collection of images. Despite the dull looking layout, everything is categorized brilliantly and you find yourself skipping from one section to another feeling as though your working your way through history. And while it’s annoying that many of the images that take your eye can’t be enlarged or are of poor quality there is still some gems to be found. So many in fact I’m tempted to post dozens right now.
Anyway, search away. Or, work your way through the vast photography section.
It is worth adding that much of the content here has no copyright restrictions and can hence be re-used as you like, not that anyone here cares about that sort of thing. :D
Sometimes this may vary even within a collection, so look carefully.
